Canadian Trevor Walmsley appointed to the WKF Referee Commission
Karate Canada is pleased to announce that Canadian official Trevor Walmsley has been appointed to the World Karate Federation (WKF) Referee Commission, marking a significant achievement for both Walmsley and Canadian karate.
Karate Canada Chair and World Karate Federation Executive Committee Member, Craig Vokey, congratulated Walmsley on the appointment, highlighting the international confidence placed in his expertise. “I would like to congratulate Trevor on his appointment to the WKF Referee Commission. Trevor’s dedication and professionalism had already earned the trust of the Pan American Federation, and now it has earned the trust of the World Karate Federation.”
The WKF Referee Commission plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity, consistency, and evolution of officiating standards at the highest level of international karate. Members contribute to referee education, evaluation, and the ongoing development of rules and best practices that support fair and safe competition worldwide.
