2nd Atlantic Regional Kumite Training Camp to be held in Newfoundland, July 8-10

Karate Canada will hold its second Atlantic Regional Training Camp of the season (in kumite) this Friday to Sunday, July 8-10, at the Mary Queen of Peace School, located at 137 Torbay Road, in St. John’s, Newfoundland (A1A 2G9). This Training Camp will be led by our Atlantic Training Centre Kumite Coach Mr. Randy Rix, and is being organized jointly with Karate NL. Here is the complete Schedule:

Friday July 8:
-Session One: 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm
(National Team Roster, Youth Division medalists from 2016 Nationals and invited sparring / training partners only)

Saturday July 9:
-Session Two: 10:00 am – 12:30 am (also open to provincial-level participants)
-Session Three: 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm (also open to provincial-level participants)

Sunday July 10: 

-Session Four; 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
(National Team Roster, Youth Division medalists from 2016 Nationals and invited sparring / training partners only)

We wish to remind all invited athletes that participation in this Training Camp will be mandatory for all current Junior and Senior National Team Roster athletes (in kata and in kumite) residing in the Atlantic provinces and within 200 km of the venue.This event also represents an important step in the final preparations of our Senior National Team Roster athletes for the upcoming German Open and World Championships (September & October), and of our Junior athletes for the upcoming Cadet & Junior Pan American Championships (August).
