CANADIAN ATHLETES SET TO COMPETE IN LISBON K1

Senior National Team Roster members, Team 2020 program targeted athletes and olympic hopefuls Haya Jumaa (women’s -61 kg) and Rita (Ha Thi) Ngo (women’s kata) are presently in Lisbon, Portugal, in order to take part in the Lisbon 2021 Premier League K1 tournament, which will take place April 30- May 2nd. This event is the last Tokyo 2020 Standings point-earning competition of the Qualification Period which is accessible to Canadian athletes, and it constitutes an important preparation event for the upcoming WKF Olympic Qualification Tournament and Tokyo 2020(21) Olympic Games.
Mr. Kraig Devlin, High Performance Director and National Team Coach, is accompanying and supporting these 2 athletes in Lisbon. Please note that all applicable COVID-19-related safety protocols and measures are being strictly respected and enforced by our Team.
