Karate Canada would like to invite all provincial athletes competing in elite divisions (Youth, Cadet, Junior, U21, Senior) to participate in the 2022 National Training Camp (NTC), to be held in Gatineau, QC, from APRIL 8th-10th. Training sessions will take place at the Centre sportif de Gatineau; the host hotel is the Hôtel V.
Please read the following important information very carefully:
– Program:
The Camp will be led by interim High Performance Director Rodney Hobson and our National Team Head Coaches in charge of the Junior and Senior National Team programs, Pam Ross (Kata), Luis Plumacher (Senior Kumite) Denis Beaudoin (Junior Kumite), with assistance from Assistant National Team Coaches. Medical support staff will be available on site throughout the camp. The total volume of training time per participant should be somewhere between 7 and 10 hours, spread over the camp’s three-day duration.
– Schedule:
The training camp will open with a team meeting Friday April 8th from 7 PM to 8:30 PM (EST) at the training venue. Accreditation will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The camp is scheduled to close on Sunday, April 10th at 4 PM.

Registration cost will be $100 per athlete*, which includes access to training sessions and workshops, as well as the following mandatory team meals:

PLEASE NOTE: PARTICIPANTS MUST ASSUME ALL TRAVEL AND LODGING FEES FOR THIS EVENT.
All athletes taking part in this training camp will be required to reside at the host hotel for the full duration of the event. Athletes 17 years of age or younger will need to be accompanied by a designated / responsible adult.
All participants are required to make their own hotel reservations.
