Karate 1-Series A Set for BC

RICHMOND, B.C.—Nearly 600 of the top karatekas from around the world are coming to the Richmond Olympic Oval, April 14-16, 2023.

Karate Canada will host athletes representing 64 countries for three days of kata and kumite competition at the Karate 1-Series A event. Canada will suit up a total of 89 athletes in kata and kumite events.

An open format to allow all athletes around the world the opportunity to compete, the Karate 1- Series A was created to bring together the best competitors in a series of Open Championships. In addition, the Karate 1-Series A offers karatekas the chance to increase their international ranking position and showcase sport – in both kata and kumite disciplines – at its highest level.

Single day tickets are available for $15. A multi-day event past is $35. Tickets for the event can be purchased here:
