Karate Canada has recently created a new contractual part-time position for a Safe Sport Lead to help implement its Safe Sport framework and promote a safe environment for the entire karate community. The Lead’s main focus will be to communicate and manage various Safe Sport requirements such as the completion of required courses, forms, etc. as well as to develop and implement a National Team injury/concussion tracking system.

KC would like to welcome Ms. Laurie Ehrman to the team. Ms. Ehrman’s Masters in Law and Management combined with her past experience as a High Performance Coordinator for the Calgary Olympic Oval and her bilingualism make her the perfect candidate for this position.
