A pillar of steadiness and consistency on the national scene as a leader, administrator, coach and official, Dan Wallis has been a member of Karate BC since 1975 and has served on the KBC Executive for more than 20 years – nine of these as President. Working as Performance Chair for the National Karate Association (NKA) from 2000-02, Dan was instrumental in establishing a High-Performance Committee/National Coaching Committee for the NKA. President of National Karate Association from 2002 to 2004., Dan signed a long-term hosting agreement for National Championships to be held in Richmond, B.C. from 2014-2016, securing financial and organizational stability for the premier domestic event, allowing it to rotate throughout the country.
