Karate Canada will hold its first BC Regional Kumite Training Camp of the season on Saturday, April 30th (from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM PST) at the St-David’s Church, located at 1525 Taylor Way, in West Vancouver. The joint Junior and Senior training sessions will be respectively led by Karate Canada’s BC Training Centre Kumite Coach Mr. Sandeep Gill and by Guest Star Instructor and world-renown Coach Javier Mantilla (graciously invited by Karate BC).

Furthermore, Karate Canada will hold its first BC Regional Kata Training Camp of the season on Sunday, May 8th (from 9 AM to 4 PM PST) at the Kimeru Shotokan Karate Club (in Vancouver). The Junior and Senior training sessions will be led by Regional Kata Training Centre Coach Mr. Brian James, with assistance from National Team Assistant Kata Coach Ms. Pam Ross. All invited athletes should have received the necessary information for both of these training camps by email already. We wish to remind all invited athletes that participation in these Training Camps will be mandatory for all Junior and Senior National Team Roster athletes residing in the province of BC and within 200 km of the respective training venues. These training sessions represent important steps in the final preparations of our Senior National Team Roster athletes for the upcoming Pan American Championships (May 23-29, 2016), and of our Junior athletes for the upcoming Youth World Cup Karate-1 event (June 27- July 3, 2016).
