Karate Canada is proud to introduce their 2 new Kumite Assistant Junior National Team Coaches: Luis Plumacher and Shaun Dhillon. Both coaches will be accompanying the Junior Team in Ecuador for the Junior Pan American Championships held August 29th to September 1st.

Plumacher, originally from Venezuela, is a former World Champion who now resides in Calgary. He is now focusing his time on training high performance athletes and has been an assistant coach for Karate Alberta since 2017.

Bronze medallist at the 2011 Pan Am Games, Dhillon was on the Karate Canada National Team for over a decade. He is now the Head Instructor at the Surrey Karate Academy and has been a dojo coach at the last 2 National Championships.
