Karate Canada Rolls Out New Eight-Year Strategic Plan

CALGARY—Karate Canada rolled out a newly-approved strategic plan that will serve as the organization’s comprehensive road map, aimed at driving the growth and success of the sport over the next eight years.
After extensive consultation within the community led by Chris Bright (Executive Director), the Board of Directors, staff, along with input from leadership at the provincial level, the plan ensures a commitment to fostering excellence and inclusivity, with respect and collaboration rooted in all aspects of the organization’s mission and vision.
“This plan is an important step forward towards ensuring both strategic governance and the operational direction of the organization,” said Craig Vokey, President, Karate Canada. “Working together with our provincial and territorial partners, Karate Canada has made tremendous progress since 2016. Guided by our values and focus on putting our people and members first, this plan will elevate our national sport organization to the next level on and off the field of play.”
The strategic plan focuses on the following five core pillars designed to foster a dynamic, sustainable, and inclusive sport that ensures strong leadership, operational excellence, drives national team success, empowers provincial territorial sport organizations and creates a safe sporting environment for all participants.
