Karate Canada wishes to salute the dedication of our Canadian Referees who recently officiated at the 30th Senior Pan American Karate Championships in Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil: Mrs. Yoshie Furumoto, Mrs. Valentyna Zolotarova, Mr. Trevor Walmsley, Mr. Doug Smerek, and PKF Referee Commission member Mr. Zvonko Celebija. Our sincere congratulations also to Mr. Trevor Walmsley for achieving his Referee B license, to Mrs. Yoshie Furumoto for obtaining her Kata Judge A license, and to Mr. Doug Smerek for successfully securing his Referee A and Judge A licenses in Kata!
