Five Athletes Carded for the 2016-2017 Cycle

March 17, 2016

Karate Canada is pleased to announce that five Canadian Senior National Karate Team Roster athletes have once again been nominated and approved for Carding (Athlete Assistance Program) for the 2016-2017 cycle. Please note that Sport Canada has modified the dates of its Carding cycle for the sport of karate (and a few other sports) as of 2017, when the cycle will in fact start on May 1st instead of on March 1st. Consequently, the athletes who have been approved for AAP support for the full 2016-2017 cycle will benefit from this support for a period of 14 months. The 2017-2018 Carding Criteria will be published shortly. Here is the list of this year’s Carded athletes, who have been selected on the basis of their competitive results, status and ranking point, and of our published AAP Criteria. Karate Canada sincerely congratulates every one of them, and has every confidence that they will make the best possible use of the support and resources being allocated to them:
