JR TEAM ON THEIR WAY TO WORLDS
Members of the Canadian Junior National Team Roster selected to compete in the 2019 WKF Cadet, Junior, and U21 World Championships will be arriving this weekend in Santiago, Chile, for this prestigious event. The competition will take place from October 23-27th, bringing together close to 1600 athletes from 96 different countries. Karate Canada will be represented by a total of 34 athletes. The team will be supported by Junior National Kumite Head Coach Mr. Denis Beaudoin, National Kata Coach Ms. Pam Ross, National Team Assistant Coaches Mr. Sorin Alexandru and Mr. Luis Plumacher, as well as medical support staff member Ms. Clare Richard, Team Manager Ms. Gillian Benson and Karate Canada President Mr. Craig Vokey. The Canadian delegation will also include seven officials. All the medal bouts will be broadcast live and free on the WKF YouTube channel. Updates and results will be posted on our Facebook page.
