Karate Canada is pleased to announce it has retained the services of expert consultant Ms. Rose Mercier (from The Governance Coach) to lead a comprehensive and independent review of the organization’s governance. Ms. Mercier brings a vast wealth of related experience and expertise to this important project (you may click here to view a short version of her resume). As part of her work, Ms. Mercier will be meeting with many individuals and stakeholder groups and will be conducting a review of Karate Canada’s Bylaws, policies and governance structures against best practices, so as to offer tangible recommendations for improvements and to help Karate Canada develop a governance enhancement action plan.

Karate Canada will soon also engage in an independent High Performance Pathway Review, and both reviews will help Karate Canada identify and define optimal practices, policies and structure for increased success in the current and post-COVID-19 context.
