OFF TO 2019 JUNIOR PANAMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
Members of the Junior National Team Roster who have been selected to compete at the 2019 Pan American Championships will soon depart for Guayaquil, Ecuador. The competition will take place from August 29 to September 1, and will bring together more than 800 athletes from 21 different countries. Karate Canada will be represented by a total of 79 athletes. The team will be accompanied by the Junior Kumite Head Coach Mr. Denis Beaudoin, the assistant coaches MM. Sorin Alexandru, Shaun Dhillon, Luis Plumacher and the Assistant Coach in Kata Mr. Adam Wackershauser. Miss Clare Richard will be attending as medical support staff and Miss Alexandra Roy as team manager. Mr. Craig Vokey, President of Karate Canada, will also make the trip. Moreover, the Canadian delegation will include 5 officials.
These championships are an important step ahead of the World Championships that will be held from October 23 to 27 in Santiago, Chile. We wish all our athletes and our coaches the best of luck! Updates, results and photos will be published on our social media.
