Karate Canada would like to extend its sincere congratulations to all members of the Junior National Team Roster (and Youth division medalists from the 2016 National Championships) who competed at the 2016 WKF Karate 1 World Youth Cup in Umag, Croatia, on July 1st-3rd. Our official delegation included 40 athletes, as well as 6 coaches, and some officials and support staff. We are pleased to report that in their first participation in this prestigious international event, Canadian athletes have achieved 15 top-ten finishes, including no less than 7 medals. Next on the horizon for our Junior National Team Roster members is the upcoming Junior National Training Camp in Toronto, where Karate Canada will announce the final team selection for the 2016 Cadet & Junior Pan American Championships!
