Team Canada Set for the World Stage
Karate Canada is proud to announce the athletes, coaches, and support staff who will represent Canada at the 2025 World Karate Federation Championships in Cairo, Egypt. These outstanding athletes have earned their place among the world’s best and will compete with determination and pride from November 27-30.
The Karate World Championships Competition System features two main stages: the Group Phase, where athletes compete in a round-robin format, facing multiple opponents within their groups. The winners and runners-up from each group will move on to the next stage.
During the Elimination Phase, advancing athletes enter a single-bout knockout bracket with no repechage. This phase includes the Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals.
