KARATE CANADA SET FOR 2026 JUNIOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IN EDMONTON

EDMONTON, AB – May 11, 2026 – Karate Canada is thrilled to welcome competitors to the 2026 Karate Canada Junior National Championships, set to ignite the EDM EXPO Centre in Edmonton, Alberta from May 15–17, 2026. One of the most anticipated events on the national karate calendar, the Championship serves as a key selection event for National Team placements and will bring together an extraordinary gathering of Canada’s most promising young talent.

An impressive 437 junior athletes – submitting 514 entries – along with 77 coaches representing 9 Provincial and Territorial Organizations from across the country will converge on Edmonton. Ensuring the highest standard of competition, 70 licensed referees will be on hand to officiate throughout the three-day event.

This event is first and foremost about the athlete experience – giving our country’s best junior competitors a world-class stage to showcase their dedication, skill, and heart. We also encourage everyone in the community to come out, cheer on these remarkable young Canadians, and be part of something truly special.”
