ONLINE COACHING COURSE PILOT

Karate Canada is piloting the first online training for karate coaches. The Instruction-Beginner workshop is tailored for coaches of athletes who wish to equip themselves with fundamental karate coaching knowledge. The workshop focuses on planning, safety, basic teaching and learning theory, as well as preparing coaches to analyze karate skills. It is recommended to hold a karate brown belt to take this course.

This first online pilot will be delivered in English at a discounted price of $60 for 3 modules. The workshop will be facilitated by Gérard Lauziere and include the following modules:

  • Karate Making Ethical Decisions
  • Karate Teaching and Learning
  • Karate Analyze Technical Performance

NOTE: Although coaches will receive credits for the 3 modules above, they will need to take a short in-person module (when in-person workshops are possible again) in order to receive the trained status in Instruction-Beginner.

The schedule will be as follow (you need to be available for all the times below) :

  • Saturday, July 11th: 10am-1pm & 2-4pm (Eastern time)
  • Sunday, July 12th: 10am-12pm & 1-3pm (Eastern time)
