Senior National Team Athletes in Paris for First Premier League K1 of 2018

Eleven Senior National Team roster members have arrived Paris, France, in order to take part in the 2018 Paris Premier League K-1 tournament, which will be held January 26th-28th (Click here for the full list of Team Canada participants). This event constitutes an important step toward qualification for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Nassim Varasteh, Senior National Team Kumite Head Coach, and Katarina Vadovicova, National Team Kata Head Coach, are accompanying the athletes in Paris, as is Karate Canada President Craig Vokey and Karate Canada Head Referee Yaro Tarana, along with a few other officials. Coach Nassim will also be attending an international training camp with a few kumite athletes in Paris following the tournament.
