Senior National Team Ready for 2019 Senior Pan American Championships
Members of the Canadian Senior National Team Roster selected to compete in the 2019 Senior Pan American Championships have arrived in Panama City, Panama, for this prestigious event. The competition will take place from March 21st-23rd, bringing together over 300 top athletes from 20 different countries. Karate Canada will be represented by a total of 26 athletes. The team will be supported by Senior National Kumite Head Coach Nassim Varasteh, National Kata Coach Pam Ross, National Para Head Coach Heather Fidyk, National Team Assistant Coach Roman Saltikov, and High Performance Director Kraig Devlin, as well as medical support / staff members Mrs. Kyra Lindsay-Ng, Para support Ms. Natalie Mahon, sport psychologist Dr. Rob Schinke, and Karate Canada President Mr. Craig Vokey. The Canadian delegation also includes nine officials.
On Wednesday, March 20th, a select number of these athletes will compete in the final 2019 Lima Pan American Games qualifier for karate. (To view the list of Canadian participants, click here.)
