Team Canada Highlights Strong Performances at the 2025 World Karate Federation Championships
Cairo, Egypt – December 1, 2025 — Karate Canada proudly recognizes the strong performances of our athletes at the 2025 World Karate Federation Championships, highlighted by a bronze medal from Natalie Olson and a 5th-place finish from Hana Furumoto-Deshaies.
Competing in the women’s -55kg kumite division, Hana Furumoto-Deshaies delivered her best-ever result at a World Championship, placing 5th after a series of determined and dynamic performances. This personal-best finish reflects Hana’s continued growth and marks a major milestone in her international career.
In Para Kata, veteran athlete Natalie Olson earned bronze, securing the sixth World Championship medal of her career. Natalie continues to demonstrate remarkable consistency and excellence, solidifying her status as one of Canada’s most decorated Para Karate athletes.
