Kenneth Lee Wins Bronze on Day 1 of Competition at the 2016 Senior Pan Ams

Team Canada has claimed its first medal of the tournament today in Rio De Janeiro (Brazil), as Kenneth Lee won a bronze medal in men’s individual kata division, the first Pan American medal for Canada in this division in many years. Other highlights of this first day of competition include a top 5 finish for Alexandre-Benjamin-Rivest (men’s 84+kg kumite) and a top 7 finish for Rita Ngo (women’s individual kata), both newcomers to the Senior National Team.
