ONLINE COACHING COURSE PILOT
Karate Canada is piloting its online Competition Introduction workshop.
This workshop is intended for coaches who want to enhance their repertoire of karate skills and possibly enter their athletes into competition. It is a good introduction to the competitive environment of the sport. Coaches will learn in-depth planning, supporting and improving athlete competition skills, and a detailed overview of the rules governing karate competitive settings.
It is recommended to to have done the Instruction Beginner workshop prior to register for the Competition Introduction course. Coaches should also hold a black belt in karate and need to be a minimum of 16 years old.
This online pilot will be delivered at a discounted price of $60 for 3 modules. The workshop will be facilitated by Gérard Lauziere and include the following modules:
- Karate Planning a Practice
- Karate Support the Competitive Experience
- Karate Analyze Technical & Tactical Performance
NOTE: Although coaches will receive credits for the 3 modules above, they will need to take a short in-person module (when in-person workshops are possible again) in order to complete their training.
There are only 10 spots available per pilot. The schedule will be as follow (you need to be available on both days):
