Senior National Team Athletes Ready for 2018 Senior Pan American Championships
Members of the Canadian Senior National Team Roster selected to compete in the 2018 Senior Pan American Championships have arrived in Santiago, Chile, for this prestigious event. The competition will take place from June 14th-16th, bringing together over 300 top athletes from 20 different countries. Karate Canada will be represented by a total of 27 athletes. The team will be supported by Senior National Kumite Head Coach Nassim Varasteh, National Kata Head Coach Katarina Vadovicova, National Para Head Coach Heather Fidyk, National Team Assistant Coaches Roman Saltikov and Kraig Devlin, as well as medical support / staff members Mrs. Kyra Lindsay-Ng, Para support Ms. Janet Ross, Executive Director and Team Manager Mr. Olivier Pineau, and Karate Canada President Mr. Craig Vokey. The Canadian delegation will also include sixteen officials. This event constitutes a very important step for our karateka on the road to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
