Dear Friends in Karate,

The government of Alberta has just declared a state of public health emergency and has announced that it is enacting stronger province wide public health restrictions, starting today (September 16). While Karate Canada had already been developing strong protocols to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 transmission at the the upcoming 2021 Karate Canada Senior National Team Trials, we are now consulting with appropriate authorities and closely examining the impact that these newly announced provincial measures and circumstances may have on the viability of the event.

We will update our community regarding the outcome of this as soon as possible, and over the coming days. Please rest assured that as always, the safety, health and well being of our participants remain our top priority.
