WKF Guardian Girls Program – Western Canadian Female Representative

Karate Canada is seeking expressions of interest from qualified female candidates in Western Canada to participate in the World Karate Federation (WKF) Guardian Girls Program Certification and Training taking place in Mexico City, Mexico from June 12–15, 2026.

The Guardian Girls initiative is an international WKF social development program focused on empowering girls and women through karate by promoting leadership, education, personal safety awareness, and positive community impact.

The selected representative will participate in the official certification process and, upon certification, will support the development and promotion of the Guardian Girls program within Canada. This includes helping to foster female leadership opportunities and assisting with future training and mentorship initiatives nationally and regionally.

  • Program: WKF Guardian Girls Certification & Training
  • Dates: June 12–15, 2026
  • Location: Mexico City, Mexico
  • Hosted by: World Karate Federation (WKF) / Pan American Karate Federation (PKF)

Funding Information

  • Accommodation and meals during the program will be covered by the World Karate Federation.
  • Karate Canada will be responsible for airfare and airport ground transportation.

Applicant Criteria

Interested applicants should:

  • Identify as female;
  • Be actively involved in karate and residing within Western Canada;
  • Demonstrate leadership experience and strong communication skills;
  • Have an interest in youth development, mentorship, and community engagement through karate;
  • Be committed to supporting the future growth of the Guardian Girls program in Canada.
  • Available to travel to Mexico City July 11-15, 2026 for instructor training program

Submission Requirements

Interested applicants are asked to submit:

  • A brief letter of interest outlining their background and relevant experience;
  • A karate résumé or CV;
  • Any additional supporting information relevant to leadership or community involvement.
